Emergency services are taking part in a large joint training exercise in Moray today.
Fire crews have warned that residents in the Fochabers area of the River Spey are likely to see several vehicles in the area throughout the day.
Personnel from the village and Elgin are due to take part in the training drills with the Coastguard and there is a possibility that a search and rescue helicopter may also join the operation.
A social media post from the Fochabers Fire Station has stressed to the public that there will be “no cause for alarm” for locals.
It adds: “Multi-agency exercises are vital for all emergency services involved in the event of an incident taking place on the river.
“We thank the public in advance for any disruption this may cause.”
