A north-east business has teamed up with two churches to create a commemoration to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.
The Spotty Bag Shop in Banff has donated 1,000 balls of red wool to Banff and Macduff Parish Churches to help them create their very own poppy art installation.
The twin towns are among hundreds of communities across the UK preparing to mark 100 years since the fighting ended with knitted tributes.

The plan is to ask youth groups and individuals to get involved with the main aim of attaching the poppies to a net which would be set up on the spire at Banff Parish Church.
The two churches approached Spotty Bag Shop owner Des Cheyne about the project and he decided to help out.
Janet Simpson, church secretary at Banff Parish Church, said his assistance has made it possible for the project expand.
She said: “We very much want it to be a community project for the whole of Banff and it is now involving Macduff as well because in reality we couldn’t use 1,000 balls of wool.
“The idea is we will some poppies cascading down from the spire and some in the church garden as well.
“Des has been generous with us before when he gave us wool for a knitathon we held last year.
“This particular one has moved him quite deeply and he wanted to do something spectacular.”
Mr Cheyne said he thought it was important for the shop to contribute.
He said: “I just felt because it is approaching the centenary it was important to remember the fallen.”
