One flown to hospital following “serious” accident near Fraserburgh

Three people have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a two car smash on a north east road.
One person has been flown by RAF helicopter, Rescue-137, to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the incident on the B9033 Fraserburgh to Inverallochy road, at its junction with the B9107.
Police, ambulance and fire and rescue crews were all called to the crash, which happened at around 7.20pm.
The road has been closed due to the collision between a Vauxhall Astra and a Renualt Scenic.
A police spokesman said: “One person has been taken to ARI in an RAF helicopter, the road is likely to remain closed for the next couple of hours.”
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We have three patients in total, two are going by road ambulance and one has gone by rescue-137.
“None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening. We got the call at 7.16pm.”
Two fire crews were sent to the scene of the crash at 7.15pm.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “The stop message isn’t back yet, I think they were just stabilising the vehicles and assisting the ambulance crews.”
Police are currently carrying out a collision investigation on the road.
