Do you remember Aberdeen’s Northern Light Queens?

The contest was an adaptation of the Swedish tradition of Santa Lucia and a popular part of the city centre’s Christmas offerings.

The festival ran from the early 80s into the 90s and helped reaffirm the city’s links with Scandinavia.

Maybe you were the queen or an attendant, or maybe you were family, supporting them as they lit the city.

Can you spot anyone you know?
