From sponsored walks to coffee mornings, the people of Aberdeen are no stranger to fundraising for cancer charities.

For years Aberdonians have been fundraising to support cancer patients and their families, whether it be for nationwide charities like Marie Curie or local ones like Grampian Cancer Care.

More recently, we’ve seen a coast-to-coast cycle expedition for Aberdeen cancer charity Maggie’s and a golfing event for Met Up UK and Make 2nds Count.

But, in this edition of The Aberdonian, we’ll be looking at cancer fundraisers held in Aberdeen in the 1990s. Can you spot any familiar faces in the photos below?
