A young boy holding on to a wooden fence next to his favourite donkey
1986 - Ewan Russell, of Westland, Longside, taking in the show with his favourite donkey, Emily.

Running on the second Saturday of July since 1853, the Echt Show showcases the best quality livestock the north-east has to offer.

The show also features vintage tractors, highland games and trade stands.

To celebrate the return of the show after Covid, we have scouted our archives for photos of the Echt show through the decades.

Do you recognise anyone in the pictures below? What are your favourite memories of the show? Let us know in the comments.
