Ross County have signed former Liverpool defender Connor Randall.

Right back Randall has most recently been playing for Bulgarian top-flight outfit Arda Kardzhali, who he joined last summer after leaving the Reds.

Randall had started his career at Anfield, making eight first team appearances, while he also spent loan spells with Shrewsbury Town and Rochdale, as well as a season-long stint in Scottish football with Hearts in 2017-18.

During his spell at Tynecastle Randall made 27 appearances, including a red card in a 2-1 victory over County in Dingwall in October 2017.

Randall, who has been capped for England at under-17 level, will bolster County’s right back options following the departure of Marcus Fraser and Richard Foster.

He joins Rangers midfielder Stephen Kelly, who joined the Staggies on a season-long loan deal on Wednesday.

County manager Stuart Kettlewell said: “We are delighted to get Connor into the club. He is a player, at only 24, that has some terrific experience behind him, and we, and I am sure our fans, will look forward to seeing what he is going to bring to us in the coming weeks and months.

“Right now the transfer market is extremely tough, but we are still managing to showcase the club in the best possible ways and this is only demonstrated by the desire we see from players like Connor in wanting to join up with us and play a part in our plans and ambitions.”
