Leading the sale was a gimmer from Hugh and Alan Blackwood’s Auldhouseburn flock at Muirkirk, Ayrshire.

By the 24,000gn Glenside Willie Winkie and out of a daughter of the 145,000gn Knap Vicious Sid, she sold carrying to the 130,000gn Sportsman A Star.

The buyers were the Bennett family, which runs the Plasucha flock at Welshpool.

Next best at 10,000gn was an entry from Gordon and David Gray’s Ettrick flock at Selkirk.

By Shannagh Won O Won and out of a dam by Ettrick Rainbow Warrior, she sold empty for winter flucshing to the Blackwoods for their Auldhouseburn flock.
