Aberdeen-based Anderson Construction said it has won £2million worth of construction contracts for a variety of clients in the north-east.

Projects include an £800,000 extension and refurbishment contract for Camphill Estates in Bieldside as well as work for Langstane Housing Association in Stonehaven and Peterhead. In Aberdeen work for Aberdeen Presbytery and work at the West Church of St Nicholas is underway, while an addition a number of private client projects along with additional work for the RSPB at their Loch of Strathbeg facility at Crimond continues, the firm said.

The awards follow on the successful handover of projects for Grampian Transport Museum in Alford, an industrial refit for Technip at Echt and a major rebuild of a four storey, 19th Century mansion to the north of the City.

Additionally Anderson’s parent company, Anderson Buchan Properties, has reported that its entire portfolio of small and medium office and industrial units as well as its residential portfolio in both Aberdeen and Edinburgh is fully let with the latest addition being the lease of office space to McGregor Garrow Architects as well as a lease extension to Conserve.

Jim Buchan, director of Anderson, said: “These new awards offer security for our workforce during testing times for all sectors in Aberdeen, the diversity of the projects is a testament to the hard work of every member of our team as well as our supply chain”.

Managing Director Kenny Anderson added: “In addition to the construction success it is heartening to see our proactive letting work on our commercial and residential portfolio bear fruit.”

Anderson Construction and Anderson Buchan Properties are operated and owned by Mr Anderson and Mr Buchan from their Northfield headquarters and employ 40 people directly with a further 50 people employed through sub-contractors.
