Nominations are being sought for Energy Voice’s Gold Awards.

Since its inception in 2015, the awards have gone from strength to strength and are considered to be among the most prestigious in the energy sector.

The awards, in association with the Press and Journal, reflect the depth and breadth of the energy sector. From windfarm to rig, brewery to solar grid, they look to recognise the people and businesses pushing the technological frontier and harnessing the power of energy to better their businesses.

Categories which can be applied for this year are Apprentice Award, Above and Beyond Award, Dr. Mildred Dresselhaus Award, Energy Transition Award, Health and Safety Award, Industry Leader Award, Large Company of the Year, Product Innovation Award, Renewables Award, Sector Innovation Award, Small Company of the Year and Hall of Fame Award.

Balmoral is this year’s sponsor of the Product Innovation Award, which recognises a piece of technology or product which has demonstrated game-changing potential and can positively impact a business’s bottom line. Jim Milne, chairman and managing director of Balmoral Group, said: “The north-east of Scotland is synonymous with innovation.

“It’s this mindset that sets the region apart and has created world-beating companies for decades.

“We’re proud to sponsor this exceptional award.”
