RuPaul’s Drag Race arena tour Werq The World will soon sashay into Aberdeen’s P&J Live.

From who’ll perform to how to get to the popular north-east venue, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming show.

When and where can I see RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq The World show in Aberdeen?

Don’t miss RuPaul’s Drag Race arena tour Werq The World on Saturday May 28 at P&J Live. Doors open at 6pm. The show is set to start at 8pm and finish around 10.15pm.

What can audiences expect?

Drag Race favourites Asia O’Hara, Lady Camden, Jaida Essence Hall, Jorgeous, Plastique Tiara, Rosé, Vanessa Vanjie, and Yvie Oddly will travel through iconic periods of time. The show will see the drag queens turning outfits, turning performances and turning time in the hopes of finding their way back to 2022.

Brandon Voss, the show’s producer, said: “This is the biggest, most spectacular production we have ever created.

“Audiences will be in awe as their favourite queens from past seasons and the newest stars of season 14 come together on some incredible numbers.

“The music, sets, fashion, choreography and lighting in the 2022 production are like nothing fans of drag have ever even dreamed of seeing before.”

How do I get to P&J Live to see RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq The World?

Venue bosses would like to encourage gig-goers to use public transport.

Bus

Stagecoach Jet Service 727:  Stagecoach will be operating its 727 Service between Union Square and P&J Live, running every 30 minutes. Additional buses will depart from Union Square to the venue on a dedicated PJ1 service from 6.30pm.

Buses will depart back into Aberdeen City Centre after the event is finished – these will depart from the front of the Hilton Hotel.

Car

Gig-goers can enter via Dyce Drive or A96 if travelling southbound, as other entry points are bus gates only. Visitors can exit via all three exits, at the A96, Dyce Drive and Wellheads Drive. To pay for parking people can either use one of the on-site payment machines or APCOA Connect App.

Will alcohol and food be available?

There are many food and beverage options available to purchase, including catering outlets offering a variety of hot food options. P&J Live aims to be completely cashless – all the venue’s bars, kiosks and restaurants accept card payments and there are no cash machines on site.
