The Dutch barn, as it name suggests, started off life as a barn.
It has been lovingly converted into a striking family home – and it’s not just me that thinks so.
This stunning conversion is award-winning and was designed by Acanthus Architects df in Huntly.
The design is unique in that there is a main home and a separate building accessed by a covered entrance that was originally designed as a pool room with a small exercise pool but is currently used as a guest accommodation.
Inside you can enjoy beautiful views of the stunning surrounding countryside through the large Danish double glazed windows while the open plan living area is flooded with sunshine from early morning until the sun sets in the evening to the north over Gartly Moor.
