A man has been arrested after crashing into a telephone line in Aberdeenshire.
Police officers from Banff and Turriff were called to the A947 near Plaidy at around 6pm.
The road had to be closed as the vehicle hit and brought down an overhead telephone line.
Officers then breathalysed the man behind the wheel and he was arrested.
The road re-opened just after 7.30pm.
No-one else was involved.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “One male had been arrested for failing a breath test after the earlier RTC.”
