An annual north-east celebration that attracts thousands of people is preparing to return.
The May Day extravaganza in Turriff town centre will take place on Monday May 7 and features the town’s two pipe bands and Highland dancing and vintage car displays.
Local charities and youth groups will also be involved.
Almost 3,000 people attend last year’s event and organisers are hoping for the same sort of success this time round.
May Day co-ordinator Dolina Mackenzie said: “Turriff’s May Day is a fantastic day out for the whole family to enjoy.
“Alongside the many stalls selling a variety of goods there will be entertainment all day, with music provided by the award winning Turriff and District Pipe Band and Turriff Silver Band.
“Local horsewoman Lorna Cumming will be bringing along her beautiful horse Gillian and their carriage, which in the past has been a real hit with everyone.
More information about the event is available on the Turriff May Day Extravaganza Facebook page.
