The railway line between Dundee and Aberdeen has reopened after a person was hit by a train.
National Rail says the incident happened this afternoon.
It is understood the incident was not life-threatening and a person was treated on the platform at Stonehaven.
The company reopened the line shortly after 4.30pm, but suggested trains running between these stations may still be cancelled or revised.
It wrote in a previous statement: “A person has been hit by a train between Aberdeen and Dundee.
“As all lines are currently closed, trains may be cancelled or revised until approximately 19:00.”
