Three bartenders from Aberdeen have been given the chance to take part in a global competition in New Orleans.
John Arthur and Nick Gordon, who work at Orchid and Cameron Woodger from 99 Bar and Kitchen, were named among the top five bartenders in the UK after taking part in a number of gruelling challenges with more than 300 competitors.
They will now travel to the United States for the Ultimate Bartender Championship where they will compete for the chance to set up their own pop-up bar at London Cocktail Week.
Both bars are part of the Monkey Bars Limited Group, whose manager Ben Irvani was delighted at their success.
He said: “Jonathan, Nick and Cameron all did an amazing job in the challenges they had to undertake.
“It’s great that three guys from Aberdeen have been ranked in the top five in the UK.
“We are very proud to have them working as part of the Monkey Bars’ teams and their talent highlights how serious we are at what we do.
“I wish them all the very best in New Orleans.”
