
Rail commuters in the north and north-east are experiencing service disruption after a person was hit by a train today.
The incident happened on the line between Glasgow Queen Street and Lenzie station.
Services to and from Aberdeen and Inverness will be cancelled, delayed or revised.
A ScotRail statement said: “Unfortunately we have had reports of a person being struck by a train between Queen St and Lenzie, because of this services will be disrupted.
“We are working closely with emergency services and will update you once we receive more information from our staff on the ground.”

Disruption is expected to last until around 3pm this afternoon.
Tickets are being accepted on local bus suppliers to ease congestion.
