Overnight road closures will be in place as work is undertaken at Appin in Argyll next week.
Surfacing improvements will be carried out along a section of the A828 Connel to Ballachuilish road north of Appin.
The £220,000 project will see 0.6 miles of the route resurfaced.
The overnight project is set to begin on Sunday August 25 and is expected to take five nights to complete.
The work will take place between 7pm and 7am each night, with all works due to be completed by 7am on Friday August 30.
A 10mph convoy system will be in operation when it is safe to do so for the first hour of the work.
From 8pm, an overnight road closure will be required each night during the improvements due to the narrow width of the road.
A signed diversion route will be in place via the A85 Oban to Perth road and A82 Glasgow to Inverness road during the overnight working hours, adding approximately 45 minutes on to journey times.
The A828 will remain open outwith working hours with a speed limit of 30mph as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
In addition to the signed diversion, amnesty periods will be in place at 9pm, 10pm, 12am, 2am, 4am and 6am to allow waiting vehicles through the work area as an alternative to following the diversion route. Emergency services will be able to pass through the project at all times.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s north west representative said: “We’ve taken steps to minimise disruption as much as possible including scheduling the project to take place overnight, including amnesty periods for waiting vehicles and avoiding working on Friday and Saturday nights.
“Our teams will do all they can to limit the impact to motorists and complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.”
