It’s that time of year again when the north’s talent descends upon Glasgow for Europe’s biggest winter music festival.
Highlanders will take to the Celtic Connections stage later this month to join musicians from all over the worldfor more than 300 events from January 16 to February 2.
Among those heading south Mànran – who played Oban’s Corran Halls earlier this week – and are also kicking off their 10th anniversary celebrations, folk act Breabach who mark 15 years since their Connections debut and fiddle players Lauren MacColl and Adam Sutherland.
Strathspey pianist, flautist and composer Hamish Napier will also perform, as will his brother Findlay Napier with Gillian Frame and Mike Vass.
Blazin’ Fiddles, Session A9, Graham Mackenzie, Duncan Chisholm, award winning duo Anna & Mairearad will all star – as will Rachel Sermanni and Julie Fowlis.
