Paramedics are treating five people for injuries following a two vehicle collision in Caithness.
The accident happened on the A9 Inverness-Thurso road, just south of the junction with the A99 Latheron-Wick road, shortly after 12pm. The A9 road remains closed in both directions.
Police, along with three road ambulances, an air ambulance and two fire appliances – one each from Wick and Dunbeath – are in attendance.
