“Disorder of any kind will not be tolerated and those who choose to behave in this way will be dealt with robustly.”

The derby match took place on the evening of April 28, but the kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes due to a collision between two cars just north of Inverness.

The accident happened on the northbound dual carriageway section of the A9 Inverness-Thurso road, near to the North Kessock junction.

One person was injured as a result of the crash but their injuries were not thought to be serious.

A black Citroen car was damaged on both the driver and passenger sides, and the back right wheel of a grey Porsche Boxster had detached from the car. Ambulance crews assessed two people on scene and one was taken to Raigmore Hospital.

The road was reopened to one lane of traffic soon after the accident, which meant the game was only slightly delayed.
