A woman was airlifted near the summit of the UK’s highest mountain earlier today after complaining of breathing difficulties.
The woman, in her 40s, was with a walking partner on 4411ft high Ben Nevis when the alarm was raised at 3pm.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team was alerted, but the Inverness-based Coastguard search and rescue helicopter managed to airlift her for treatment at the Belford Hospital, Fort William. Her condition is unknown.
