One person has been taken to hospital after a car and a bicycle collided on the former A9 road south of Aviemore earlier today.
The incident occurred around 3.25pm on the B9152 Aviemore to Kingussie road near to the Rowan Tree Country Hotel, with police and ambulance personnel racing to the scene.
An air ambulance was also sent to the scene.
The casualty, believed to be the cyclist, was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where their condition is unknown.
A police spokesman confirmed a diversion is in place via the A9 road whilst emergency services attend to the incident.
UPDATE: The road has since been opened.
Police have thanked the public for their assistance and patience during the investigation.
No further information is available regarding the medical condition of those involved in the crash.
