The Mallaig lifeboat and Kyle coastguard rescue team were paged in the early hours of this morning to assist a yacht that had reported it was suffering from engine failure.
A call was received by the Coastguard Operations Centre in Stornoway around 4am, with both teams sent to assist the vessel, located near to Armadale Harbour.
The RNLI crew arrived on scene and proceeded to take the vessel under tow towards the Skye port.
Both crews were stood down around 5.30am after the vessel had safely been deposited at Armadale.
