The ‘be aware’ alert from the Met Office forecasts heavy rain starting on Monday evening and is likely to persist through Tuesday and the first part of Wednesday. “Through the whole period 50-75 mm of rain is likely quite widely, with 100-125 mm possible in places, mainly on higher ground.
