Two men appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday on drugs charges.
James Stewart, 61, from Inverness and 21-year-old Malachi Reid from Sheffield faced a charge of being concerned in the supply of heroin.
Stewart was also charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis. Reid faced an additional charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Both made no plea or declaration, were committed for further examination and released on bail.

A Sutherland teenager was fined £1,100 and banned from driving for two years when he appeared from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
Alex Fletcher, of Achnairn, Lairg, admitted driving carelessly on the A9 at the Cromarty Firth bridge on Saturday and colliding with a stationery car, causing extensive damage to both.
He also pleaded guilty to driving with more than three times the legal limit of alcohol and also without insurance.
The court was told he was on his mobile phone and did not see the car had stopped at roadworks traffic lights in front of him.
Window cleaner Alan Munro, 43, Aird Avenue, Inverness, was fined £600 at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday after admitting racially aggravated comments to Rumanian fans last July.
The court heard Munro had offered to exchange scarves with the visiting fans during the Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Astra Europa League cup tie on July 16.
Defence lawyer Willie Young said: “He is a diehard ICT fan and when his request was refused, there was a robust exchange and he made the comments in the heat of the moment.
“He hasn’t been able to attend a football match since due to bail conditions.”
