A 32-year-old Inverness man who assaulted two 17-year-old boys at a Culloden takeaway will be sentenced on September 14.
Michael Grierson, Chattan Avenue, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted the offences which occurred at 1st Pizza Direct on September 12 last year.
Grierson, who was unrepresented, said he was drunk at the time when he placed one youth in a headlock and grabbed the other by the jumper and pushed him up against a wall.
Sheriff Margaret Neilson called for a background report.
A homeless Inverness man was jailed for 10 weeks after he admitted a disturbance at his former girlfriend’s house in Culloden,
Colin Kerr, 40, appeared from custody and admitted threatening and abusive behaviour at a house in Cameron Court on July 15.
He was remanded the following day for his appearance yesterday at Inverness Sheriff Court and had his sentence backdated till then.
The court heard he had gone to the house to collect documentation to assist in his benefits claim and his girlfriend, who was not expecting him, started shouting at him.
Defence agent Ken Ferguson said: “He responded by shouting back.”
