A man has been arrested in the Highlands after driving a lorry which was in a dangerous condition.
The 44-year-old Romanian national was arrested on the A95 at Drumuillie.
Road Policing officers from the Highlands and Islands were out checking lorries for roadworthiness and compliance with drivers hour legislation.
They came across a lorry that was such a dangerous condition, that it posed a significant risk to the driver and other road users.
The driver was arrested and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Road Policing Inspector Donnie Mackinnon said: “Under Operation Cedar, we are committed to keeping people safe on our roads and this was an example of someone who displayed an utter disregard for road safety.
