Police in Moray are appealing for information after a white BMW 6 Series was vandalised in Forres.
More than £800 worth of damage has been caused after grey paint was thrown over the car parked on Califer Road.
It is believed the vandalism occurred between 3am and 8am on Monday morning.
PC Lisa Warren of Forres Police Station said: “This would appear to be a targeted attack, with a potential case of mistaken identity and an unrelated car damaged.
“Anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area, or who has information about this, is urged to contact police.”
