A north-east lifeboat was launched earlier today in order to help a fishing vessel that was stranded.
Crews from Buckie were called at about 9.30am to assist the boat that was about 10 miles east of Tarbat Ness lighthouse, near Tain, due to a rope becoming caught in its propeller.
The vessel was towed back to the Moray port and arrived at about 2.30pm.
A coastguard spokesman said: “The lifeboat was requested to assist with a vessel that had a fouled propeller. It provided a tow back to Buckie harbour.”
