In pictures: Bon Accord Golf Club through the years as Aberdeen club celebrates 150th anniversary

Bon Accord Golf Club, recognised as the second oldest golf club in Aberdeen,  celebrates its 150th anniversary this week.

The club, whose members play on the municipal Kings Links, was formed at a meeting on June 7 1872.

Bon Accord held a celebratory day at the Kings Links on Saturday.

A picture from 1990 when the staff behind the bar took on members in a sponsored games day at Occidental Sports Club. Scoring of the various events including five-a-side football didn’t seem to matter as the ‘Beer Bellies’ and ‘Bar Belles’ slugged it off. Proceeds from the event went to the city’s Special Nursery.
