Live beside the sea in Stonehaven

Post Thumbnail

Stonehaven was not a place I really knew much about until I moved to Aberdeen – and now I love it.

It has to be one of the most picturesque towns in the shire and has lots to offer.

Its quaint harbour is definitely worth a visit while the beach and Dunnottar Woods are great spots for a walk with the dog. Dunnottar Castle is always a great day out, as is the open-air swimming pool.

For those with children, there are a number of primary schools to choose from and Mackie Academy for secondary school pupils.

There are also plenty of properties to choose from – including new builds and period homes.

For those wanting to join the property ladder or maybe venture into new lands with buying to let, here is the perfect home for you.

Number 1 Ardley Terrace is an adorable one-bedroom end terrace located in the popular seaside town.

At a price of offers over £135,000, it is ideal for those joining the property market and even better, is in a great ready-to-move-in condition – meaning you can have a stress-free relocation and no extra costs for renovation works.

The main hub of the house is the living room on an open-plan basis with the kitchen and dining area. It’s a lovely bright and airy space which would be great for entertaining guests.

The kitchen has a modern style, which complements the more traditional exterior well. It has been fitted with lots of wall and base units meaning lots of storage and work space for budding chefs.

Also on the ground floor, you will find the shower room, fitted with a two-piece suite and a separate shower cubicle.

Upstairs, you will find the good-sized double bedroom which has built-in storage and a nice big window flooding the room with light.

Outside, there is a garden, which those who are not particularly green-fingered will be pleased to hear requires relatively little maintenance, but is a great space to enjoy the summer weather. There is also a stone-built outbuilding alongside a wooden shed which provide more storage space.

And for those who are looking for something more that they can put their stamp on, Ardley Terrace could offer that too.

Permission was previously granted but now lapsed to convert the outbuilding into further accommodation. So if someone was up for the challenge, a planning application could be submitted again.
