Emergency services are in attendance at an Aberdeen rail bridge after a woman fell from the crossing and onto the tracks below.
Police have sealed off a stretch of pavement along St Machar Drive, understood to be the spot from where the woman fell.
Officers have also have blocked entry to a car park at the rear of the Kittybrewster Retail Park, to the east of the railway line as emergency services are using it.
One ambulance along with an emergency support unit van and another medical vehicle raced to the scene shortly before 6.30pm.
They were quickly followed by a Network Rail van.
Scotrail alerted customers to the “incident” via social media, and confirmed that services could be disrupted up until 8.30pm at least.
Shortly after 6.30pm the organisation announced that rail tickets would be accepted on the Number 10 bus to Inverurie.
At 6.45pm a spokesman confirmed that the woman had been removed from the line and said Scotrail “would try and restore services as quickly as possible”.
A police spokesman explained that a woman had fallen from the bridge, but said her injuries were not thought to be severe.
