The north of Scotland has been battered by gale force gales and rain today.
The Met Office warned residents last night gales and locally severe gales were expected across much of Scotland.
Gusts of 50-60 mph have been experienced in many areas. The highest gusts recorded at around 6am this morning were in the Cairngorms, Lerwick, Shetland, and Loch Glascarnoch in Garve.

There has also been heavy rainfall in certain parts of the country.
Staff at Achnacarry House, in Spean Bridge, reported about 5 inches fell in the past 24 hours.
They shared a video of Chia-aig Falls, near Loch Arkaig, Lochaber, with the water ferociously bursting out from the top.
The falls famously featured in a scene in the 1995 film, Rob Roy.
