A woman’s body has been recovered from Dunnet Head in Caithness.
Police said they received a “concern call” at around 1.20pm about a member of the public being close to the view point.
Officers, coastguard helicopter and a lifeboat crew attended the scene where the woman’s body was found and recovered.
A police spokesman said: “Next of kin have been informed and there doesn’t appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
“As is protocol with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal. Inquiries are continuing and further information will be issued in due course.”
