A Highland restaurant has shut for a deep clean after a customer tested positive for Covid-19.
The Culloden Moor Inn will be closed until 4pm tomorrow to allow for the premises to be cleaned and sanitised.
It comes after they were contacted yesterday by Public Health Scotland who informed them that a customer who had been in the restaurant on Saturday night had tested positive for the virus.
To reassure customers, the Culloden Moor Inn posted a statement on social media detailing how they had been inspected and given a clean bill of health by Environmental Health.
It said: “We went to the Environmental Health Offices who were unaware of the situation and called the Public Health Organisation and consequently arranged a site visit for this afternoon.
“After a full inspection and a clean bill of health we can assure you EHO are completely satisfied with our practices and procedures that are in place and that no improvements are required from ourselves.
“We have taken the decision to close until 4pm tomorrow (Wednesday 19th) for a deep clean and sanitisation of the premises for further peace of mind.
“We are in the process of contacting our team to ask that they are tested and can assure you they will not return to work until the test results are received.
“We have handed over our track and trace details from Saturday to EHO who will then hand them over to the local track and trace team.”
