Around 30 firefighters were needed to bring a gorse fire in Moray under control.
Crews were called to Clashach Quarry, on the outskirts of Hopeman, at 4.30pm this afternoon.
A spokesman in the fire control room said a 820 sq ft area of gorse was ablaze.
Plumes of smoke could be seen across the surrounding area, as emergency services descended on the scene.
It took around two and a half hours for the 32 firefighters – including teams from Elgin, Lossiemouth, Buckie, Inverness and volunteers from Gordonstoun – to extinguish the blaze.
