Man charged following two-vehicle crash in Lossiemouth

A man has been charged with another taken to hospital following a crash in Lossiemouth yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called to the B9103 Inchbroom road shortly after 4pm following reports of a crash involving two vehicles.

The incident happened at the junction of Provost Drive.

The road was closed to all traffic as officers worked to clear the carriageway of debris before reopening at 5.20pm

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched one appliance from Elgin to the scene.

Firefighters used small tools to make the vehicle safe before leaving at around 4.40pm.

Police confirmed one of the two drivers, a man, was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin for treatment and another man charged in relation to the incident.

A police spokeswoman said: “Around 4.10pm on Friday, 2 June, 2023, we were called to a report of a two vehicle crash on Provost Drive, Lossiemouth.

“The male driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin.

“The driver of the other vehicle, a 23-year-old male, was charged on connection with road traffic offences.”
