An Aberdeen man who posed for a photo with a bomb clad plane hijacker could be set to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.
Ben Innes, 27, reached internet notoriety after taking a ‘selfie’ with Seif Eldin Mustafa, a plane hacker who forced the EgyptAir plane to land in Cyprus after claiming to be wearing a suicide vest, which turned out to be fake.
Innes, whose photo went viral, said he “threw caution to the wind while trying to stay cheerful in the face of adversity”
It is thought that CCB bosses, clearly inspired by Innes’ “quirky personality”, want to bring him into the house as an Internet sensation.
Last year’s Channel 5 show was hit by a series of controversies, from an infamous bust-up between Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace and Farrah Abraham, which saw police called to the studios, to Winston Mckenzie’s homophobic slur.
Communications regulator Ofcom also received more than 200 complaints after the show decided to air the hysterical reaction to David Bowie’s death in the house.
