But this recent YouTube video has thrown the world of Fortean investigation into excited free-fall.
Surely this is amongst the top percentile of almost, not quite but sort of-sightings of a humongous, mysterious water creature, yet unknown in the recorded history of Earth’s majestic fauna?
YouTube user Penn Plate, uploaded the fascinating clip which appears to show a large creature moving through London’s River Thames, right in front of the auspicious millennium dome.
Hundreds of excited comments have been posted under the video, which has been viewed close to one million times.
So, is this proof the Loch Ness monster is enjoying a holiday in England?
Perhaps she has travelled down with an SNP MP?
other YouTube experts claim it is an alien or a Russian Submarine.
Only time and a thorough investigation by some brave adventurer will tell.
