Glenurquhart’s international half-back powerhouse Andrew Corrigan will be in Norway working tomorrow when his team play host to Inveraray in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup quarter-final at Blairbeg Park.
The MacTavish Cup runners-up also have two major injury worries as they seek to win the trophy for the first time, having been beaten finalists to Kingussie back in 1988.
Another international, full back John Barr, faces a late test on a hamstring problem, while 18-year-old wing centre James Hurwood is also a major injury doubt.
Maclean said: “It’s disappointing to go into such a major tussle with such worries but we’ve got home advantage and plenty of ability in the team.”
Having leaked six goals to Kyles Athletic in last week’s Celtic Society Cup final, Inveraray will be seeking to tighten up at the back.
They were Camanachd Cup beaten finalists two years ago and player-manager Garry MacPherson could start his first game for three months after breaking bones in his hand.
Douglas Dando, who won the man of the match medal in their Camanachd triumph 10 years ago, is back from holiday but after being out injured for 14 weeks, he is unlikely to be in the starting line-up.
Glen took a point at Newtonmore last week and Inveraray will be wary of Fraser Heath, who scored two goals against them in their league duel.
