Aberdeen Coastguard assist with medical evacuation

Aberdeen Coastguard were called to assist with the medical evacuation of a crew member throughout the night. The team were notified of the incident, which took place 175 nautical miles south-east of Aberdeen, at 3.43am this morning. A rescue helicopter took the casualty to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Their condition is unknown.

Offshore worker airlifted to ARI from north sea platform

A man has been airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary from an offshore platform. The coastguard was made aware of a man with injuries at around 4.50pm and the Inverness helicopter was sent to collect him. It is unclear at this stage which platform he had been working on.
