Thousands of graduates, including geologists, chemists and historians, are celebrating their success today.
As Aberdeen University’s week of summer graduations comes to an end, the Class of 2022 were told “You’ve done it” before they took to the stage at P&J Live.
Among the graduates was Professor Katherine Sonderegger who was presented with an honouray degree.
She said it was “a special moment” and that she was honoured to be affiliated with the university,

Gary Dorrian has overcome a number of persona challenges to make it to his graduation today.
The 23-year-old, from Northfield, has received his degree in Chemistry after five years of study in Aberdeen.
He took the opportunity to highlight the importance of discussing mental health and how seeking support helped him achieve his goals.
Aberdeenshire
Katrina Court achieved a life-long dream of becoming a geologist when she graduated from Aberdeen University today.
She was inspired to study the subject while growing up in New Zealand and her interest in the subject grew when she worked in the gold field of Australia.
Now living in Laurencekirk, she plans to continue her studies before pursuing a career in the energy sector.
Highlands
Lucy McIntosh has been inspired by her university course to pursue a career working in museums.
The 22-year-old, from Thurso, graduated today with a degree in archaeology and history after four years of hard work.
She is grateful she got to celebrate her graduation in person alongside all of her classmates and family.
Moray
Kirsten Flett says she would not have been able to graduate today if she had not asked for help earlier this year.
The 21-year-old, from Elgin, was able to turn around her whole university experience after an impactful conversation with a mentor.
She said: “If you want to succeed at university and you need help, you should definitely ask for it. If you just reach out to somebody, it will help you.”
