Two taken to hospital following early morning ‘serious assault’ in Oban

Two men have this morning been taken to hospital in Oban following an early morning assault.

Police were called at 2.15am to an area of George Street in the town centre.

A spokeswoman said their investigation into the classed “serious assault” is ongoing.

The men, aged 27 and 28, were taken by ambulance to the Lorn and Islands Hospital in the town.

Inquiries are being conducted today with an area of the street cordoned off.
