An elderly man who died in a house fire on South Uist has been named as police continue to investigate the cause of the blaze.
Firefighters have tackled a house fire in South Uist. Crews from Lochboisdale and Benbecula were called to the property in the Kildonan area about 6pm. A spokeswoman said the fire was in a contained area of the property but had spread through the roof. Nobody is thought to have been injured.
