Aberdeen Coastguard assist with medical evacuation

Aberdeen Coastguard were called to assist with the medical evacuation of a crew member throughout the night. The team were notified of the incident, which took place 175 nautical miles south-east of Aberdeen, at 3.43am this morning. A rescue helicopter took the casualty to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Their condition is unknown.


Aberdeen Coastguard called out to assist ill crewman

Aberdeen Coastguard were called to assist an unwell crewman onboard a cargo vessel earlier today. Crews attended the incident after receiving a call at 11.55am. The crewman was taken in by the vessel’s own lifeboat and an ambulance was dispatched to assist. The condition of the individual is unknown.


Coastguard called to assist injured man at Donmouth

Aberdeen Coastguard has been called by the ambulance service to assist an injured man at Donmouth. The call was made at 6.45pm and a helicopter and lifeboat have been sent to the scene. There is no indication of the severity of the injuries at this stage. More to follow.


Drifting boat prompts lifeboat call out

Jane Candlish. Already webbed Loch Ness Lifeboat has been called out to reports of a drifting speedboat near Abriachan. Aberdeen Coastguard said that the vessel was covered in a tarpulin and appeared to have broke its moorings. There is no further detail at present.
